• Film Entry Guidelines:

    The purpose of MissionFest Film Screenings are to raise awareness and to encourage the support of missions through film.  MissionFest encourages and supports production and distribution of films and media expressions that feature Godly Kingdom values.

    1. Eligibility: Filmmakers from any country may submit films for consideration.  Films from any date of completion are considered. There are certain elements which will unequivocally disqualify a film from inclusion. Blatantly sexual content, offensive language and/or gratuitous violence will result in a film being rejected due to incompatibility with our mission statement, the nature, and intended target of our audience. MissionFest Toronto reserves the right to determine the suitability of submitted films for Screening.  MFT encourages productions with the highest levels of creativity consistent with its values and vision.  MissionFest will consider every film on its merits, message, and theme. Films with adult themes will be considered for inclusion for screening only if the above guidelines are met.

    2. Final Submission Deadline: Films are considered on a rolling basis. Deadlines are subject to change. Filmmakers are highly encouraged to submit their package as soon as possible. Late submissions will automatically be considered for future MissionFest Screenings.

    3. Submission format: The preferred format is a standard in 4:3 NTSC video DVD. The case should be marked with the title of the entry and the name and phone number of the person submitting.

    4. Additional items: Other materials may also be submitted at the discretion of the filmmaker including: a. Production notes b. Photographic stills c. Descriptive materials d. Promotional materials e. Artist biography/photos f. Any other items.

    5. Include submission form: Complete the Submission Form in its entirety. Sign, date it, and include it with your entry.

    6. Notification: Entrants will be notified if their film has been accepted and may be contacted anytime after the submission has been received.

    7. If chosen for selection: Each filmmaker or member of the ministry may if they wish at their own cost attend the Film Screening and do a Question and Answer period following the screening.
